As a way to get ready to kick off the four-day Easter weekend, BdA (Bar des Arts at McGill) and SLASA collaborated to host a Thursday night featuring Latin American reggaetón favourites, warm beers, and greasy grilled cheese at the Leacock basement.
In a night filled with romantic vibes and Latino music, SLASA hosted an unforgettable Valentine’s Day party. The theme included a dress code in which participants indicated their relationship status, with white being taken, red being single, pink being complicated, and black being not interested/undisclosed.
One of the best and most loved SLASA events definitely is our biweekly Coffee & Spanish reunions! With small themes such as Hispanic History Month, Día de los Muertos, attendees from all backgrounds and from all Spanish levels are always welcome to grab a drink and snack to chat or play board games while meeting everyone involved or interested in Latin American and Spanish culture.

In a collaboration with UdeM’s AELAUM (Association des étudiants latino-américains de l’UdeM), attendees got to meet more Latin American students while having delicious food and drinks at Mexican restaurant La Cantina.
Following our legendary Día de los Muertos party, SLASA hosted a Halloween celebration filled with amazing reggaeton by Dj Dany O and a costume competition.
